The holiday season can be felt throughout the month of December in downtown New Haven at The Shops at Yale. The retailers that make up the community are holding free events open to the public.
You won’t want to miss the Ice Carving Competition on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 12 to 4:00 p.m. Six ice carvers will each make a “spectacular” sculpture in only four hours out of 900 pounds of ice, according to The Shops at Yale website. Live music from groups like the famed Whiffenpoofs can be heard at the ice carving competition. Read more about this specific event here.
