2017 Holiday Events

Celebrate your holiday season in historic downtown New Haven at The Shops at Yale. All events are free and open to the public.

 

 FREE 4-Hour Parking

Free 4-hour parking with same day purchase of $30 or more from retailers at The Shops at Yale surface lots, conveniently located adjacent to stores and restaurants. Friday, November 24 – Sunday, December 24 at 255 Crown Street, 161 York Street and 56 Broadway. Simply show your receipt to the parking lot attendant when exiting. (Store employees are not eligible). Also, Park New Haven is offering free 1-hour parking at New Haven meters every Saturday when you use the Go New Haven App. November 24 – December 30.

Holiday Laser Light Show by CT Lasers, every 30 minutes, 5:00-7:00pm. Amazing laser light show projected onto area buildings and choreographed to holiday music.

Laser Light Shows

Friday, November 24 – Saturday, December 23.  Holiday Laser Light Show by CT Lasers, every 30 minutes, Friday and Saturday nights from 5:00-7:00pm on Broadway Island, across from J.Crew/Urban Outfitters. Amazing laser light show projected onto area buildings and choreographed to holiday music.

 

New Haven Tree Lighting on the New Haven Green

Thursday, November 30, 2017. Festival on the Green to include petting zoo, carnival ride, Santa visits, refreshments, live entertainment and more!

Ice Carving Competition, 12:00-4:00pm
, Saturday, December 9

6 professional ice carvers will each transform 900lbs of ice into a spectacular sculpture in only 4 hours. Great photo opportunities with the sculptures after the event. Hot cocoa and other specialty drinks available at Maison Mathis and Blue State Coffee, both cafes are only steps away from the event.
