Broadway Method Academy, in association with Westport Country Playhouse and the Shubert Theatre of New Haven, proudly debut a new Connecticut regional awards program presented in association with the Jimmy Awards/National High School Musical Theatre Awards.
The Stephen Sondheim Awards has a mission of emphasizing the importance of arts education by celebrating and supporting student achievement in high school musical theater. Awards will be presented in multiple categories. The winners of the Best Actor and Best Actress awards will go on to participate in the Jimmy Awards in New York City.
The awards ceremony and culminating celebration will be a black tie gala (tuxedos optional) on Monday, June 4. The event will include a red carpet, nominee performances, and awards presented by Broadway actors.
Participating school groups have been given instructions for purchasing their ticket blocks. Please use the link below if you would like to purchase individual tickets to the event for parents, family and friends.
